2020-2021 NJCDCA All State Team
As we rapidly approach the end of October 2020, it’s so hard to believe all of the changes that have taken place this year in cheerleading and dance when compared to last year. And yet, look at how flexible, creative, resilient and determined you all continue to be in managing your best direction for continuing forward with your individual programs.
The NJCDCA Board continues to support all efforts to maintain safe programming. Your good health and well being is Our Priority! We understand and appreciate that securing practice space can be a challenge and in turn, for Seniors, completing aspects of the All State Application may be difficult. With that in mind, and in response to several inquiries to the same, we are extending the ALL STATE TEAM APPLICATION DEADLINE TO SATURDAY DECEMBER 5th.
Please submit your utube video and hard copy application at anytime between now and the 12-5-2020 deadline when you are satisfied that all aspects of your application are complete and in compliance with the guidelines provided on the NJCDCA website. All applicants to the All-State Team must be on a high school varsity cheerleading/ dance team.
All applications, DVD's, photo releases and accompanying data must be postmarked by December 5, 2020.

In order to properly prepare for a State Championship, we need to get an idea how many teams are intending to participate. Submitting this form DOES NOT register you for the NJCDCA State Championships. This reserves your spot as your intent to compete. Update on the Upcoming Competitive Cheerleading & Dance Season
As we navigate through the various changes in sports due to COVID-19 and determine the best path forward for cheerleading and dance in New Jersey, the NJCDCA wanted to provide some updates and share some of the feedback we have received from other coaches within our state. As many of you know, the NJ governor, and recently the NJSIAA, released a Return-to-Play (Season 2, Season 2A and Season 3) Update- see below. Although the NJSIAA does not govern NJ cheerleading and dance, most member schools are following their guidance when determining what is needed for cheer and dance.
Based on the new guidance, and feedback from cheer and dance coaches, most cheer and dance programs will look to follow the Season 2 format starting practices January 11th, 2021. If you are a NJ competitive cheer or dance team and are given the option, you can align with the Season 2 schedule like basketball. If your AD has already designated you to Season 2A, rest assured the two seasons do have some overlap. Our goal is to get as many teams as possible in the same season to compete while allowing for those teams that attend a national to be prepared. Ultimately, you will need to follow the rules and decisions given by your Athletic Director, school board/governing body, local and state boards of health as well as any further decisions regarding sports that come from the Governor.
In regards to the NJ Cheerleading and Dance State Championships, we are excited to be planning a Virtual State Championship for March. This will hopefully align with most competitive cheer and dance teams’ schedules. In the next few weeks, we will provide more details and will expand some of our divisions as well as explore some new ones in an effort to accommodate some of the nuances of where we are during this unprecedented time and provide flexibility and competitive opportunities to our teams.

- EARLY Registration deadline is 11:59 PM on Feb 12th- CLOSED
- On Time Registration deadline is 11:59 PM on Feb 19th.
- Late Registration will continue through 11:59 PM on March 1st.
Registrations will not be accepted after March 1st. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Middle High School and Recreation Cheerleading teams must submit videos by 11:59 PM, Saturday, March 27, 2021.
Middle High School and Recreation DANCE teams must submit videos by 11:59 PM, Thursday, April 1, 2021.
All payments must be received or your video
